iss raaz ko kya jaane saahil ke tamashaai..

iss raaz ko kya jaane saahil ke tamashaai

hum doob ke samjhe hain dariya teri gahraai

the spectators of the shore does'nt know this secret

i drowned myself to know how deep you are , O river

jaag ae mere humsaya khwaabon ke tasalsul se
deewar ke aangan mein ab dhoop utar aayi

get up my friend from the continuity of your dreams
see the day has dawned in the walled backyard

chalte hue baadal ke saaye ke taakub mein

ye tishnalabi mujh ko sahraaon me le aayi

chasing the shadow of the  flying cloud

this thirst of mine got me in the desert

ye jabr bhee dekha hai taarikh ki nazron nein

lamhon ne khataa kee thee sadiyon ne saza paayi

this tyranny has also been seen by the eyes of past

for mistake made by moments centuries have been punished

[सानेहा = accident/calamity ]

kya saaneha yaad aaya 'Razmi' kee tabaahi ka

kyun aap ke naazuk si aankh mein nami aayi

what accident you remember of 'Razmi's' misery

why your delicate eyes got moistened

Adding my own ashaar to this ghazal

[ दस्तूर  = custom, अहल -ए-कामयाबी = world of success, फ़राज़ =  heights , निहां = concealed / hidden , तबाही = destruction]

ajeeb dastoor hai ahal-e-kaamyabi ka

kisi ke faraaz mein nihaan hai kisi ki tabaahi

strange rule are there in the world of success

in someone's rise is hidden sombody's destruction

Kuch Tou Majbooriyan Rahi Hongi...

there must be some compulsion

otherwise no is unfaithful just like that

there is daily conversation between us

but for long time we don't see each other

heart desires to speak the truth

but what do I cant muster the courage

who shall wait for the night

nowadays what doesn't happen in the day

kuch tou majbooriyan rahi hongi

yun hee koi bewafa nahin hota

guftagoo unse roz hoti hai

mudatoon saamna nahin hota

jee bahut chahta hai sach bole

kya karein hosla nahin hota

raat ka intezaar kaun kare

aaj kal din mein kya nahin hota

Bashir Badr

Adding my ashaar to this ghazal

wahaan jaane ke sau tareeke

aane ka koi raasta nahin hota

hundreds of ways to go there

but not a single way back

jalwaa baqadar-e-zarf-e-nazar dekhte rahe

jalwaa baqadar-e-zarf-e-nazar dekhte rahe

[qahar = tyaranny , andher = darkness, deeda-e-tar = moistness of eyes  ]

laakh aaftaab paas se ho kar guzar gai
baithe hum intazaar-e-sahar dekhte rahe

[aaftaab = sun, intazaar  = awaiting, intazaar-e-sahar = awaiting for dawn ]

hundred thousands of sun passed by me

---

aisi bhee kuch firaaq kee raatein guzar gayeen
jaise unhi ko pesh-e-nazar dekhte rahe

[firaaq = seperation]

such nights of separations have passed by me
In front of my my eyes it was and I kept looking

---

[daur = times, bedili = disenchantment, daur-e-bedili = times of disenchatment, mazburiaan = helplessness , sogwaar = sorrowful / greiving]

such helplessness of the disenchanted time I recall
even though the eyes were grieving, I kept looking

tasveeer ko unki hum raat bhar dekhte rahe

[Muztarib= agitated, tishnagi = thirst]

such was the agitation in heart and thirst of eyes
that picture, whole night, I kept looking
