Seriously yaar, ye seeti bajwaane waale mushaayra main even good shaayars look ordinary and out of place. Many times, the attempt is to get the crowd going rather than putting up meaningful stuff. Faraz was pretty good, but the kind of ghazals he has normally recited in mushaayras were not his best.

The type of ghazals the poet recites depends on the audiance. Now in Mushairas where audiance are poet's peers he recites good shers. In mehfils where generally there is normal crowd, poets recites what crowd likes. Most of the clippings I find of Faraz is from mehfils.
